Nothing special about the results of this study, which I found on Patreon… I used a glaze of yellow and satin glazing medium on top of the brightest side of the pear. Might as well use some of the features of acrylic painting.
Still Life
Still Life… Completed
This is the finished work. I used Staedtler Mars Lumograph Black pencils for the shading. The garlic cloves are out of place somewhat relative to the reference photo used in class.

Still Life… In Progress
This in-progess work is from a class project, using graphite, from DrawAwesome.

…and Nut
This walnut was sketched with 2B, 4B and 6B Derwent pencils.

A Sketch of Fruit…
Using Derwent pencils, which surprisingly seem “better” — darker — than Staedtler, which I’ve been using until now.

A Pair of Pears
Quick willow charcoal sketch done today after work.

Karen Margulis Patreon Follow-Along: Shiny Vase
Karen Margulis offered her Patreon members a demo of how to paint shiny objects. Using her reference photo — but modifying it for my own purposes — I did this study on Colourfix Original (Soft Umber color), and used both hard and soft pastels.
Shiny Vase in Pastel Pencil & Charcoal
Today for her Patreon members, Karen Margulis had a photo demo of painting a shiny vase in soft pastels. I used the reference photo provided, but decided to draw the vase in charcoal first, and later filled in the shapes with the colors I saw using pastel pencils. This was done on plain ol’ drawing paper.

A Pair of Apples
This was done on 6×8 white Pastelmat, sketched first using an H pencil. I did not do an underpainting.
