In honor of that, here are 11 Fascinating Poinsettia Facts You Should Know
Earlier this year, I painted a red poinsettia based on a painting by Ali Kay. Today I painted a white and pink one (always my favorite live poinsettias) on an 8×10 canvas based on an image by Cindy from Pixabay.
I did this painting on an 8×8 canvas which I had months ago applied modeling paste to, without knowing what I was going to do with it. So I decided to paint the crow (based on an image by mycol from Pixabay). After a while, it gets tiring to paint other people’s work from class, ugh.
I enjoyed painting this.
These trees are based off an image by Inna Sherman from Pixabay. I stuck with the primary palette (cad-free yellow medium, pyrrole red and ultramarine blue), black and white, but I also used a bit of yellow ochre, mainly for the grasses. I worked it on a 6×8 canvas panel.

This drawing is inspired by a photo by Klary Tineo from Pixabay. It’s done using Staedtler’s Aquarelle pencils, and I applied the water brush after.
Again, from my sketchbook, this time using Staedtler’s Mars Lumograph Aquarelle pencils. This was so much fun to draw! It is based on an image by 👀 Mabel Amber, who will one day from Pixabay.
